ROBERT ROTHFARB   |  3D VIRTUAL WORLDS  |  TITANIC: VOYAGE THROUGH TIME

This project was a prototype for an educational - entertainment CD-ROM created with writer Ian Kerner for Ellipse Programme/Canal+ (Paris, France).   Robotic camera footage from the IFREMER submersible Nautile was digitized and integrated into the prototype as were other archival footage sources and images.  We also developed an extended treatment with Ellipse Programme which was used later to secure funding for the project.

The Study had several pre-rendered views that allowed users to change their viewpoint and zoom in on selected interactive objects.  When clicked on, these interactive hotspots trigger other views, audio and video clips, and the transition to the submarine environment.
